Please read these terms carefully before enrolling. They govern your use of our services, admissions process, and student obligations.
Agreement to Terms
Welcome to the Shri Mahakal Institute ("Institute", "we", "us", "our"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the "Student", "User", "you", "your") and the Institute governing your enrollment in our programs, use of our educational services, access to our facilities and platforms, and participation in Institute activities.
By submitting an application, accepting an offer of admission, enrolling in any program, accessing our learning management systems, attending classes (online or in-person), using Institute facilities, or otherwise engaging with our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, along with our Privacy Policy and any program-specific guidelines.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not enroll in our programs or use our services. Your continued enrollment or use of our services constitutes ongoing acceptance of these Terms and any future modifications.
Eligibility & Admission Requirements
Enrollment at the Shri Mahakal Institute is subject to meeting our admission requirements and maintaining eligibility throughout your program. By applying or enrolling, you represent and warrant that:

Use of Educational Services
The Institute grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use our educational services, facilities, and platforms solely for legitimate educational purposes during your enrollment period. This includes:
Academic Integrity & Code of Conduct
The Shri Mahakal Institute maintains the highest standards of academic integrity and professional conduct. All students must adhere to our Honor Code and Code of Conduct. You agree to:
Academic Honesty
Refrain from all forms of academic dishonesty including plagiarism, cheating on examinations, unauthorized collaboration, fabrication of data, and submission of work that is not your own. Properly cite all sources and give credit where due.
Original Work
Submit only original work created specifically for each assignment. Do not reuse work submitted for other courses without explicit instructor permission. Do not purchase, commission, or submit work created by others.
Examination Integrity
Follow all examination rules and protocols. Do not use unauthorized materials, communicate with others during exams, access prohibited resources, or compromise the security of examination materials.
Professional Conduct
Treat faculty, staff, and fellow students with respect and professionalism. Refrain from harassment, discrimination, intimidation, disruptive behavior, or conduct that compromises the learning environment or institutional reputation.
Intellectual Property Rights
Intellectual property rights regarding educational materials, student work, and Institute assets are governed as follows:

Prohibited Conduct & User Responsibilities
To maintain a safe, productive, and respectful learning environment, you agree not to engage in the following prohibited activities:
System Misuse
Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to Institute systems, networks, or accounts. Do not introduce malware, viruses, or malicious code. Do not circumvent security measures or authentication protocols.
Account Sharing
Your student account credentials are personal and confidential. Do not share login information, allow others to access your account, or impersonate other students, faculty, or staff members.
Harassment & Discrimination
Do not engage in harassment, bullying, discrimination, hate speech, threats, or intimidation based on protected characteristics or otherwise. Respect diversity and maintain professional standards in all interactions.
Disruptive Behavior
Do not disrupt classes, examinations, events, or campus operations. Do not engage in activities that interfere with the learning, research, or working environment of others.
Illegal Activities
Do not use Institute resources for illegal purposes, including but not limited to copyright infringement, illegal file sharing, fraud, identity theft, or any violation of local, national, or international law.
Unauthorized Recording
Do not record classes, lectures, private conversations, or campus activities without explicit consent from all participants and instructors, except as permitted under accessibility accommodations.
Commercial Use
Do not use Institute resources, facilities, platforms, or relationships for unauthorized commercial purposes, multilevel marketing, or solicitation of students, faculty, or staff.
Misrepresentation
Do not misrepresent your affiliation with the Institute, make unauthorized statements on behalf of the Institute, or falsely claim credentials, achievements, or endorsements.
Disclaimers & Limitations of Liability
Your use of Institute services and facilities is subject to the following disclaimers and limitations:
Termination & Withdrawal
Your enrollment and access to Institute services may be terminated under various circumstances. Both you and the Institute have certain rights and obligations regarding termination:
Voluntary Withdrawal
You may withdraw from your program at any time by submitting formal written notice through the student portal or registrar's office. Refunds are subject to published refund schedules based on withdrawal date. Outstanding financial obligations remain due.
Academic Dismissal
The Institute may dismiss students who fail to maintain minimum academic standards, fail required courses, or do not make satisfactory progress toward degree completion as defined in program guidelines.
Disciplinary Termination
We may immediately terminate enrollment for violations of academic integrity, code of conduct breaches, illegal activities, threats to campus safety, or other serious policy violations. No refund is provided for disciplinary dismissals.
Non-Payment Termination
Failure to meet financial obligations may result in enrollment suspension or termination. Access to classes, platforms, and services will be blocked. Reinstatement requires full payment of outstanding balances plus any applicable reinstatement fees.
Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your access to learning platforms, campus facilities, student email, library resources, and all Institute systems will be immediately revoked. You must return all Institute property including access cards and borrowed materials.
Leave of Absence
Students in good standing may request a leave of absence for approved reasons (medical, personal, professional). Leaves must be formally approved and do not extend program deadlines. Tuition obligations and return conditions will be specified in leave approval.
Survival of Terms
Provisions regarding intellectual property, confidentiality, dispute resolution, limitation of liability, payment obligations, and any other terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect after your enrollment ends.
Dispute Resolution & Governing Law
Disputes arising from these Terms or your relationship with the Institute will be resolved as follows:
Informal Resolution: Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to first contact our Student Affairs office to attempt informal resolution of any dispute or concern. Many issues can be resolved through direct communication.
Internal Grievance Process: Academic disputes, grading appeals, and disciplinary matters are subject to our internal grievance and appeals processes as outlined in the Student Handbook. You must exhaust internal processes before seeking external remedies.
Mediation: If informal resolution fails, disputes may be submitted to non-binding mediation through a mutually agreed mediator. Mediation costs will be shared equally unless otherwise agreed.
Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the Institute is located, without regard to conflict of law principles. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in that jurisdiction for any legal proceedings.
Class Action Waiver: You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis only. You waive any right to participate in class actions, collective proceedings, or representative actions against the Institute.
Limitation Period: Any legal action arising from these Terms must be commenced within one year of the event giving rise to the claim. This limitation period applies to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
